Take a cold water shower. The temperature of the water should not be freezing, but it should still be lower than lukewarm. This will help ease the pain as well as help get rid of skin irritation.

Aloe Vera is good for Sunburn


Apply aloe vera to burned skin. This can either be in the form of a gel or a lotion. Dont rub the cream or gel into your skin completely.

Dairy Products is good for Sunburn


Make cold milk compresses by soaking a clean cloth in a bowl with equal parts milk, ice cubes and water. Then hold the cloth on the burned area for five minutes. Repeat three times.

Sandalwood is good for Sunburn


Mix sandalwood and turmeric to make a paste by adding water. It should not be too thik nor thin. Rub this paste gently on affected area. Rinse after an hour with cold water.

Cucumber is good for Sunburn


Rub fresh cucumber slices on burnt skin.

Potato is good for Sunburn


Extract potato juice and apply them on the burnt skin. Oatmeal pack can also be tried.
